Covering an area of 3,000 mu, the Blue Waves Sightseeing Zone offers diverse experiences. Visitors may cross the miniature Great Wall, walk along wooden bridges, and climb the lake’s islets. Here you can watch hippos and crocodiles, play with troupes of monkeys, and view sacred turtles and pythons. A great variety of rare wild animals also inhabit the zone, including Mongolian wild asses, Xinjiang wild horses, Mongolian camels, seals, black bears, giraffes, palm civets and black swans.

More than sixty distinctive wooden and iron houses with varied styles line the willow embankment of the inner lake. Wandering among them gives an otherworldly feeling, as if stepping into the mythical Penglai Fairyland. The Han Folk Culture Village captures fragments of the Han people’s historical and cultural development, vividly recreating local working and living scenes from before the 1960s that never fail to amaze visitors. The 100-meter-long Tianchi Swimming Pool, located north of the inner lake and south of the White Pagoda, serves as a natural paradise for swimming and sunbathing.

Sitting to the west of the World Landmarks Zone, the Amusement Park is fully equipped with facilities for both heart-stopping thrills and relaxing fun. The swimming pool has waters of varying depths and diving platforms of different heights to suit all visitors. The mirror-smooth ice skating rink offers all-day skating services. The Thrill World boasts large rides including spaceships, octopus whirls and wild mouse roller coasters full of challenging excitement. Over a dozen electric rides in the Children’s Playground keep kids entertained for hours.

The Hundred Birds Garden to the north is hailed as China’s top bird forest. Hundreds of species totaling ten thousand birds inhabit the 40-hectare free-range habitat, chirping loudly and flying side by side in a spectacular sight.
