One-Day Self-Guided Tour Guide to Wuxi: Optimal Itinerary Map
Plan 1
Set off early in the morning and head to Lingshan Giant Buddha first. It’s best to pay homage to Buddha early. After burning incense, visit the Brahma Palace, and the whole trip will take around two hours. Next door is Nianhua Bay. Though compact, it is exquisitely built, and you can finish exploring it in the morning.
In the afternoon, go to Yuantouzhu to admire the stunning scenery of Taihu Lake. If you come in spring, you can catch the Cherry Blossom Festival. Order a pot of Taihu Green Bamboo tea by the lake and slowly savour the laid-back charm of Jiangnan.
In the evening, stroll along Nanchang Ancient Canal Street. Grab a cup of Starbucks and wander beside the Qingming River.
If you have ample time, staying for a few more days will let you fully enjoy the city, especially as it’s breathtaking in spring.
Plan 2
Arrive at Lingshan Scenic Area early and have lunch there at noon. Do not miss the Nine Dragons Bathing Buddha performance! In the afternoon, visit the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin Movie Studios. If you’re short on time, the Three Kingdoms Studio alone is well worth a visit and fully representative of the scenic spot—be sure to watch the live show Three Heroes Fighting Lü Bu
