Travel Guide to Qinshan Island Tourism Resort

Every year in late spring and early summer, the sea shrouds in mist. Whether standing at the foot of the mountain or climbing up the island, visitors often catch sight of the miraculous mirage. Coupled with local legendary myths passed down through generations, the island gains extra magic and charm, making it an alluring destination.

At the western foot of Qinshan Island lies a path paved with cobblestones stretching roughly 10 kilometers toward the mainland. Legend says it was constructed by Emperor Qin Shi Huang, hence the names Qin Bridge or Divine Path of Qinshan. For over a thousand years, this path has endured wind and waves without fading away. Today, tourists can stroll along this ancient trail to admire the scenery of Qinshan Island.

Option 1: Take the Xinpu–Ganyu coach and alight at Ganyu North Bus Station. Transfer to Bus No.2 or the Qingkou–Zhewang special line to reach the reception center of Qinshan Island Scenic Area in Songkou Village. Option 2: Take the Xinpu–Ganyu coach and get off at Ganyu South Bus Station, then take a taxi to the reception center of Qinshan Island Scenic Area in Songkou Village. Option 3: Drive off the Ganyu highway exit, follow National Highway 204 and proceed to the reception center of Qinshan Island Scenic Area in Songkou Village.

Willow weaving handicrafts of Lianyungang boast a long history. According to the supplementary volume of Continued Records of Ganyu County, local willow wares collectively known as "Liuboluo" from Tucheng participated in the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in the 5th year of the Republic of China and won the fourth prize. Willow craftsmen weave their works in underground cellars. The cellars maintain steady temperature and humidity when artisans bend willow branches, yielding high-quality finished products.
