Liandao Coastal Bathing Beach – Must-Visit Coastal Spot in Lianyungang
Lianyungang boasts multiple coastal bathing beaches along its bays. The largest one is Liandao Coastal Bathing Beach within East-West Liandao Scenic Area (Bus No.33, fare 2 RMB). It features crystal-clear water and fine soft sand. Especially in summer and autumn, countless tourists flock here to swim in the seawater, with row upon row of tents and beach umbrellas neatly spread across the shore.
Haizhou Bay Tourism Resort – Must-Visit Coastal Spot in Lianyungang
Located at Xiaokou in Ganyu County, Haizhou Bay Tourism Resort stretches for over 10 li of continuous beach, earning it the nickname "Beidaihe of Jiangsu". Besides splashing in the sea, visitors can dig for tidal flat shellfish and grill them fresh on site, offering boundless rustic fun. The shore is lined with various water entertainment facilities, ideal for a multi-day relaxing getaway.
Other Smaller Coastal Bathing Beaches
There are three smaller bathing beaches:
- One in Xugou Town, the earliest built old bathing beach, closest to the urban area and reachable on foot;
- Huangwo Scenic Area on Gaogong Island (Bus No.31, fare 2 RMB);
- Xishu Scenic Area (Bus No.32, fare 1 RMB).
All three sit right beside fishing villages.
Qinshan Island
In addition, Qinshan Island in Ganyu County hosts massive flocks of migratory birds that blot out the sky, creating a spectacular sight. It is also a fantastic destination for adventure and unique natural exploration.
