No.1 Liandao Island (Ticket Required)
The largest offshore island in Jiangsu Province, home to premium natural coastal bathing beaches.
Liandao is a perfect pick for anyone who has never visited an island. It sits not far from the mainland, connected by a causeway highway, so you can get there easily by public bus or self-driving car. It makes an excellent short-distance getaway for travelers in the Huaihai region.

No.2 Mountain of Flowers and Fruits (Ticket Required)
Filming location for China’s Four Great Classical Novel Journey to the West, hailed as the Hometown of the Great Sage Sun Wukong.
The mountain’s natural scenery presents a magnificent contrast of towering rugged peaks stretching toward the open sea. It features numerous sites tied to tales from Journey to the West, including Wa Yi Stone (Sun Wukong’s birthplace), the Water Curtain Cave where he once lived, the Seventy-Two Demon Caves, Monk Tang Cliff, stone formations resembling Pigsy and Sandy Monk, Lord Laozi’s Hall, Immortal Bridge, South Heavenly Gate, a stele recording Monk Tang’s family history, Sea View Pavilion, Lazy Man Stone, Beauty Pine, Sky Crack Gorge and Nine-Dragon Bridge. All rock sculptures are vivid and lifelike.
Yunu Peak atop the mountain is the highest summit in Jiangsu Province. Standing on its peak, visitors behold a sea of clouds blanketing the Yuntai Mountains, rolling like ocean waves. Peaks poking through the mist resemble the immortal Penglai Islands amid vast waters, with rolling hills and crisscross valleys stretching far into the distance, creating an ethereal, otherworldly atmosphere.
No.3 Yuwan Scenic Area
Known as the "Zhangjiajie of Jiangsu", it boasts spectacular, unique natural landscapes.
Nestled at the southern foot of the Yuntai Mountains, Yuwan forms a key section of the Mountain of Flowers and Fruits. It features deep, distinctive mountain valleys and cascading waterfalls all year round. Iconic spots such as Old Dragon Pool, Second Dragon Pool and Third Dragon Pool (where three dragons are said to play in the water), as well as Dragon Bed (where the Third Prince of the Dragon King rests), transport visitors to a fairyland.
The waterfall at Old Dragon Pool plunges more than 40 meters down, close enough for tourists to touch its surging, splashing waters. Hidden Dragon Cave halfway up the mountain is a real-life Water Curtain Cave, framed by jagged rocks with a curtain of water hanging over its entrance; the cave interior can hold over 20 people. Standing on Rainbow View Platform near the cave mouth, you can catch sight of a huge rainbow refracted by the Old Dragon Pool waterfall, a breathtaking sight.
No.4 Jinping Mountain, Lianyungang
Jinping Mountain is the birthplace of ancient Haizhou civilization. Emperor Kangxi named it "Jinping Mountain" (Embroidered Screen Mountain) for its gorgeous layered mountain scenery, and the area holds a wealth of historic relics.
No.5 Peacock Valley, Lianyungang
Peacock Valley is reputed as the "Jiuzhaigou of Jiangsu" and "Shangri-La of Northern Jiangsu". Wild flowers carpet the hillsides in spring, swift waterfalls rush through the valley in summer, wild fruits cover the slopes in autumn, and snow-laden trees create a crystalline winter wonderland, making it a year-round travel destination.
Quiet, elegant and packed with diverse views, the valley’s most famous attraction is the thousand-year-old King of Glutinous Rice Blossoms, a rare tree bearing both male and female flowers on one trunk. The scenic zone also features a southern-style moso bamboo forest, a peacock garden and barbecue areas. Every April, peach blossoms burst into full bloom, weaving a picturesque scene as flowers and mountain streams mirror one another. Swarms of tourists flock here each spring, hence the name "Peach Stream Gully".
