Jiuli Lake is located in the northeastern part of Xianyou County, Fujian Province. If you depart from Beijing, you can first take a flight to Fuzhou or Xiamen, then board a long-distance bus to Xianyou County seat. The ride takes about two and a half hours, with buses departing every few dozen minutes. Upon arriving in Xianyou County, take a tourist shuttle bus directly to the scenic spot; the journey lasts roughly 40 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a high-speed train to Putian Railway Station, where tourist buses run to the scenic area.

Self-driving travelers can take the Fuzhou-Xiamen Expressway, exit at Fengting in Xianyou, and then drive into downtown Xianyou.
