How to Get to Tengchong Ginkgo Village?

Ginkgo Village is about 40 kilometres away from downtown Tengchong. You can take a coach bound for Gudong, then transfer to another vehicle in Gudong Town. Alternatively, get off at Xinhe Village on the route, where you will see a large road sign, and then take a connecting car. Another option is to take the coach to visit the Volcanic Geopark first, then hire a minivan to the village.

The main highway is National Highway 320 (from Hangzhou to Ruili). The whole journey from Kunming via Dali and Baoshan to Lujiangba is expressway. The 86-kilometre road from Lujiangba to Tengchong is asphalt pavement. Asphalt roads lead to Tengchong from multiple directions: Lujiangba, Longling, Luxi, as well as Ruili via Yingjiang and Lianghe.

The Dali-Ruili Railway is currently under construction. Once completed, passengers can get off at Longling Station, Luxi Station or Ruili Station and continue the trip by road transport.
