Endowed with abundant and unique natural resources, Qiubei boasts distinctive local products including Qiubei chili, lotus root starch, Niejiao liquor and pink kidney beans. It also supplies Panax notoginseng products representing Wenshan Prefecture, as well as ethnic embroidery and various handmade crafts.

Small and uniform in shape with bright color, Qiubei chili is rich in oil and vitamins. It delivers a strong spicy aroma and pleasant taste, with no pesticide residues. Loaded with protein, fat, sugar, vitamins, amino acids and other essential nutrients for the human body, it is an ideal pollution-free condiment.

Originating from Niejiao Village in Qiubei County, the liquor gets its name from the locality. When cellared in earthenware pots for over six months for aging, it develops an even richer and sweeter flavor.

Pink kidney bean is a specialty grown in high-altitude mountain areas such as Niejiao and Shede of Qiubei County. In recent years, tourists dining at farmhouses in Puzhehei Scenic Area can always taste the classic farm dish of pink kidney beans stewed with cured pork hock, which is incredibly delicious. Apart from being cooked as a dish, pink kidney beans can also be used to make pastries and serve as industrial raw materials.

As a traditional gluten-free food, lotus root starch is made by grinding dried lotus roots into fine powder. It is commonly used as a thickener in both Chinese and Japanese cuisines.
