How to Get to Puzhehei
Besides self-driving, taking a coach is another common option. Since there is no dedicated bus station in Puzhehei, visitors usually need to travel to Qiubei County first and then transfer to a shuttle bus for the scenic area.
By Air
Wenshan Puzhehei Airport is located in Panlong Township, Yanshan County, 25 kilometers away from the prefectural seat of Wenshan. Yanshan County is around 77 kilometers from Qiubei County, with a 1.5-hour drive.
You can fly to Yanshan first, then take a coach to Qiubei County (about 50 minutes). Taxis are also available directly from the airport to Puzhehei, which takes roughly 1 hour and costs around 150 yuan.
A flight from Kunming Airport to Wenshan Puzhehei Airport takes 30 minutes. It is about a 1-hour drive from the airport to Puzhehei Scenic Area.
By Coach & Tour Bus
Kunming → Qiubei → Puzhehei
Puzhehei Scenic Area is within Qiubei County. The whole journey from Kunming to Qiubei is 287 kilometers, taking 4 to 6 hours.
Catch a coach to Qiubei at Kunming East Bus Station. Both daytime seated buses and overnight sleeper buses are available, with fares ranging from 54 to 70 yuan (prices rise during holidays).
Qiubei County is 13 kilometers away from Puzhehei. Frequent shuttle buses run between the two places for a fare of 3 yuan, offering convenient transport.
Tour Bus
The distance from Kunming to Puzhehei is over 300 kilometers. Board long-distance coaches to Qiubei at Kunming East Bus Station.

By Self-driving
Take the Qiubei exit off the Guangzhou-Kunming Expressway to reach Qiubei County, then drive about 13 kilometers north to arrive at Puzhehei.
The section from Guangzhou to Suolongsi in Yunnan is a full expressway. The road from the Qiubei expressway exit to the county seat is a Class II highway. Though relatively narrow, it is in good condition with flat terrain — please control your driving speed. The road from Qiubei to Puzhehei is also a Class II highway, featuring smooth and flat surfaces.
