Tips for Traveling to Sanniang Bay, Qinzhou, Guangxi

1. Spring, when the weather turns warm yet remains chilly, is an ideal season for dolphin watching here. Dolphins frequently appear during this period. They will joyfully leap out of the water, jump and play alongside boats to interact with visitors. Special reminder: Please protect the corals if you go diving.
2. It is advisable to reach an agreement with the boatmen before departure. Negotiate to return only after spotting dolphins, or ask for a fare discount if none are seen. Otherwise, you may end up paying nearly 100 yuan with no dolphin sightings.
3. Make sure to agree in advance on a viewing time of no less than 20 minutes once dolphins appear. Otherwise, some boatmen may only let you watch for 5 minutes before heading back to pick up the next group of tourists.
4. Bring a pair of binoculars for the boat trip, as dolphins are often far away and hard to see clearly with the naked eye.
5. Take a video camera. Ordinary cameras cannot keep up with the dolphins' swift movements and will hardly capture any footage, while a video camera works much better.
