Qintang Maojian is a roasted green tea produced in Qintang District, Guigang, Guangxi. Its development started in 1971, and it was officially appraised and named in 1973. The output reached 300 kilograms in 1988, and it was mainly sold within Guangxi. It took second place at the National Famous Tea Competition in 1982 and was officially listed as one of China's top famous teas.
Grown at the foot of Mount Pingtian at an altitude of 672 meters, the tea garden enjoys abundant rainfall. The average daily temperature here is 4℃ to 6℃ lower than that in plain areas, with a diurnal temperature range of 11℃ to 12℃. The soil is deep, loose and rich in organic matter, with a pH value of 5.5. Such superior natural conditions facilitate the formation and accumulation of amino acids and aromatic substances in tea leaves
