What tourist attractions are there in Yangjiang?

1. Dajiaowan in Zhapo (Ticket Required)

Located in the southeast of Zhapo Town on Hailing Island (Ticket Required), Dajiaowan is embraced by mountain peaks on three sides and faces the vast South China Sea. It gets its name for its ox-horn-like shape and ranks as the most famous scenic spot on Hailing Island. The beach stretches 2.5 kilometers long and 100 meters wide. The bay enjoys mild winds and calm waves, with soft, even sand, crystal-clear seawater and fresh air, making it an ideal destination for tourism and vacations.

2. Ten-Mile Silver Beach (Ticket Required)

Situated in the south-central part of Hailing Island, Ten-Mile Silver Beach is one of the island’s numerous coastal stretches. Its standout feature is its extraordinarily long coastline, spanning 16.5 kilometers of endless golden sand. Another major advantage is its clean shorelines and fewer crowds.

3. Yangxi Salt Mineral Hot Spring Resort (Ticket Required)

Nestled in the East Lake (Ticket Required) Ecological Development Zone of downtown Yangxi County, the resort is 240 kilometers away from Guangzhou. Lush trees and clear, tranquil lakes fill the compound, forming a natural green oxygen bar. Its signature highlight is the salt mineral hot spring, which originates from sandbars at the estuary of Zhigong River in the county seat and flows nonstop all year round with water temperatures above 76°C. It is a rare high-concentration sodium chloride salt mineral hot spring.

4. Maritime Silk Road Museum of Guangdong (Ticket Required)

Standing beside Ten-Mile Silver Beach on Hailing Island, Yangjiang, the museum backs onto mountains and overlooks the sea. Its uniquely shaped main building serves as an iconic landmark of Hailing Island. Centered on the excavation, conservation, exhibition and research of the ancient Song Dynasty sunken ship Nanhai No.1, it is the world’s first special underwater archaeology museum that displays live demonstrations of underwater excavation work.

5. Moon Bay

Moon Bay lies in Yangxi County with abundant tourism resources. Apart from its coastal beach, it features a rare salt hot spring of high medical value — Rudong Hot Spring. It is a high-end coastal hot spring resort (Ticket Required) integrating healthcare, wellness and leisure entertainment.

6. Shaba Bay (Ticket Required)

Located in Shaba Town, Yangxi County, Shaba Bay is nicknamed "China’s Maldives". Leaning against the scenic Beizai Ridge, it faces the boundless South China Sea and covers scenic spots including Shaba Seashore, Moon Bay, Qingzhou Island and Bai’e Ridge. The bay curves like a rainbow with jade-smooth sand, lined with emerald green trees and shimmering blue waves, serving as a perfect natural bathing beach. Its coastline extends 2 kilometers. Due to limited accommodation facilities and a smaller scale, far fewer tourists come here, free from the bustle of other beaches. You may even find only your own footprints along the entire 2-kilometer shore.

7. Jinshan Forest Park

Sited in the eastern urban area, Jinshan Forest Park covers over 4,000 mu and is divided into four zones: plant viewing area, animal viewing area, children’s activity zone and swimming zone.
The plant viewing area consists of coniferous and broad-leaved forests, home to more than 200 tree varieties including white yulan magnolia, lotus magnolia, mahogany, erythrophleum fordii, michelia figo, acacia mangium, big-leaf acacia, araucaria, masson pine, slash pine, loblolly pine, caribbean pine, Chinese arborvitae, dragon juniper, longan, lychee and jackfruit.
In the animal viewing area, visitors can spot parrots, giant pythons, peacocks, monkeys and more. The children’s zone is equipped with a mini football pitch, swings, kids’ swimming pool, slides, electric mini trains and other facilities. The park boasts lush lawns and blooming flowers with delightful scenery everywhere.

8. Yuanyang Lake Park

Yuanyang Lake Park surrounds Yuanyang Lake in downtown Yangjiang. Covering a total area of 167,000 square meters with 108,000 square meters of green space, it contains attractions such as Yuanyang Lake, South China Kite Field, Kite Exhibition Museum, Seagull Viewing Platform and the square sculpture Dream of Flying.

9. Yangjiang Hot Spring Resort

Boasting a grand scale, Yangjiang Hot Spring Resort sits alongside National Highway 325 in Heshan Town, Yangdong District, a key transportation hub in western Guangdong, adjacent to the national AAAA-level Zhapo Tourist Zone on Hailing Island.
The resort gains renown for its natural hot springs. Its spacious open-air hot spring zone features well-planned, distinctive design, housing 58 themed pools arranged in Suzhou garden style including waterfalls, lakes, spring gardens and wellness bathing areas. Simple and rustic, they deliver a pure natural charm that lets visitors return to simplicity. The layout follows the concept of "waterfalls hidden among mountains, caves concealed in waterfalls, and springs flowing inside caves", offering a fantastic water-themed retreat.

10. Chunwan Stone Forest (Ticket Required)

Also known as Lianhuadong Stone Forest, Chunwan Stone Forest is located within Chunwan Scenic Area in Chunwan Town, Yangchun City, covering over 200 mu. It is a typical limestone doline encircled by six stone peaks: Hundred-Leaf Sword Gate, Horse Head Peak, Camel Peak, Sword Blade Mountain and others. Surrounded by rolling hills, it exudes serenity and grandeur. Steep, towering stone peaks stand before the stone path, resembling thousands of swords, spears and halberds piercing the sky, presenting a spectacular sight. Three hiking trails and seven pavilions are built within the stone forest
