Ji'an is a land of abundant natural resources and outstanding people. It boasts magnificent mountains and rivers, fertile land and a pleasant climate, with a rich variety of local products. Black-bone chicken, kumquat and Gouguna tea are known as the Three Treasures of Ji'an, which have won high praise from numerous celebrities since ancient times. Suichuan kumquat, hailed as "the treasure among citrus fruits", is one of the four major original growing areas of kumquats across the country. Anfu ham, Xiajiang rice noodles and Suichuan cured duck enjoy nationwide fame. Other local specialties include ancient Jizhou porcelain and aged Ji'an winter wine. These specialties are available at commercial streets and large supermarkets in downtown Ji'an. Nevertheless, local products are best purchased in their places of origin if possible.

Ji'an teems with special local goods. The flexible Suichuan black folding fans, mellow aged Ji'an winter wine, and tough mulberry bark paper favored by many calligraphy enthusiasts, together with ancient Jizhou porcelain and Jinggangshan bamboo and wood crafts, are all prides of Ji'an.

Tourists can buy souvenirs at the Department Store and the Central Street of Trade Square, where a wide range of goods are available. These locations are easily accessible by taxi or bus with convenient transportation.

Ji'an Yellow Cattle, Xiajiang Buffalo, Dual-purpose Draft and Dairy Cattle, Anfu Rice-fed Pig, Lijiang Pig, Tengtian Spotted Pig, Wan'an Pig, Guanchao Pig, Taihe Wushan Chicken, Lianhua White Goose, Suichuan Partridge Duck, Yongfeng Longgang Goose, Wan'an Glass Red Common Carp, and Xiajiang Shad.

Grown in the mist-shrouded Jinggangshan Mountains over 800 metres above sea level, Jinggangshan Green Crisp Tea is a premium green tea developed by local villagers who have refined and innovated upon generations of traditional tea-making techniques. It features three distinctive green qualities: green dry tea leaves, green tea liquor and green infused leaves. The tea leaves are tight, slender and curved with tender green hairs. It gives off an inviting fragrance with sweet and soothing flavour, clear bright liquor and a rich refreshing taste. It has been well received by consumers since its launch. It has been named a Famous Tea of Jiangxi Province every year since May 1982. In 1985, it was recognised as a National High-Quality Tea and awarded a high-quality agricultural product certificate by the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries. It also won provincial high-quality tea award in 1988.

Donggu Green Tea originates from the Donggu mountainous area in Ji'an County and ranks among the renowned local teas. Shrouded in mist all year round with long hours of diffused sunlight, this mountain region produces tender, thick and high-quality fresh tea leaves. Tea made from these raw materials features tight, slender, straight leaf strips with fine tips and solid texture, in even emerald green colour. Once brewed, the tea delivers strong fresh aroma, clear bright liquor and sweet mellow taste, greatly popular among tea drinkers.
