Where Can You See the Sea Near Dongguan?

Xunliao Bay

Located near the Tropic of Cancer, Xunliao Bay boasts rare coastal ecological resources. Its annual average temperature stands at 21.7°C, and the concentration of negative oxygen ions in the air peaks at 65,856 per cubic metre. Both the seawater quality and atmospheric environment around it meet China’s Class I national standards. Situated in Huizhou, Guangdong, Xunliao Bay is known as "the Maldives of China".
Praised as "China’s Most Beautiful Bay", it features gorgeous underwater landscapes and a rich variety of marine life, complemented by charming onshore scenery and diverse-shaped islets. Its crystal-clear waves and pale white, immaculate sandy beaches are rarely matched nationwide. Its enchanting scenery and nearly pollution-free environment have earned it two laudatory titles: "Blue Jadeite" and "Heavenly Platinum Shore".

Hailing Island

A national AAAAA-level scenic spot, Hailing Island is hailed as "Beidaihe of the South" and "Oriental Hawaii". Like an unpolished jadeite, it is a rare ecologically intact offshore island both at home and abroad, ranking among China’s Top Ten Most Beautiful Islands for three consecutive years as selected by Chinese National Geography.
It has won numerous honours, including China’s Most Internationally Influential Tourist Destination, China’s Most Distinctive Tourist Destination, Top Coastal Holiday Resort in China, One of China’s Top Ten Cultural Tourism Zones, one of the first batch of International Marine Parks, and one of China’s Top Ten Treasure Islands.
The eastern zone of the scenic area is dedicated to sports and serves as the national training base for China’s beach volleyball team. It has hosted major competitions such as the International Beach Volleyball Invitational Tournament and the Asian Beach Volleyball Championships.
The western zone is a leisure area fitted with beach garden teahouses and botanical landscapes, where visitors can listen to rolling waves, savour tea and go angling to enjoy peaceful elegance.
The central area features a public bathing beach offering abundant entertainment: surfing, windsurfing, jet skis, powered paragliders, beach buggies, an ocean park and folk cultural performances.

Xiachuan Island

Compared with its larger neighbour Shangchuan Island, Xiachuan Island resembles a secluded paradise untouched by crowds. It has long been a homeland for local fishermen and descendants of the imperial court officials of the late Southern Song Dynasty. Beyond the Wangfuzhou Tourist Resort, every scenic spot — Guanyin Mountain, Niutang Bay, Da Bay and Sisters Bay — exudes tranquil comfort.

Dong’ao Island

Zhuhai is nicknamed the "City of a Hundred Islands", home to as many as 140 islands of varying sizes. We will introduce Dong’ao Island here. It boasts abundant attractions worth visiting, including the Ancient Gun City, Stone Landscape Corridor, Fertility Spring, Honeymoon Pavilion, Nansha Bay and Nansha Bay Stone Gallery.
The island boasts fresh air and premium fine sand along its bays, drawing numerous tourists year-round.

Wailingding Island

Wailingding Island is immortalized by the famous line from the poem Crossing the Lonely Ocean: "Since ancient times, no one escapes death; I leave a loyal heart to shine through history."
Yet its charm also lies in its modern leisure offerings. It is ideal for camping, snorkelling and island hiking. Thanks to limited overdevelopment, it retains the primitive, authentic vibe of an unspoiled sea island.

Fangji Island

Fangji Island is Guangdong’s premier diving destination and the country’s largest offshore angling base.
It ranks among China’s top diving bases blessed with superior natural conditions: excellent underwater visibility, no hidden undercurrents in adjacent waters, calm seas, soft breezes and pristine white sand. It supports three internationally popular diving activities: shallow-water diving, deep diving and adventure diving.
It has the highest vegetation coverage rate among all islands in Guangdong, with a wide range of native plant species plus dozens of rare varieties introduced from Taiwan and Southeast Asia.

Dameisha

Dameisha Coastal Park is one of Shenzhen’s iconic tourist landmarks. Locals often say a trip to Shenzhen is incomplete without visiting Dameisha. Here you will find stunning sandy shores, surging ocean waves, warm bright sunshine and crowds filled with joy
