What Nice Beaches Are There in Huizhou? Where Are the Best Seaside Spots in Huizhou?

Little Xing Mountain Island – The Blue Pasture

Among the scattered islands across Huizhou’s waters, locals affectionately call Little Xing Mountain Island “Xingzai”. Lying 4.5 kilometers southwest of Daxing Mountain in Gangkou Town, Huidong County, it covers an area of 1.275 square kilometers. As the largest island on the eastern side of Daya Bay’s entrance, it faces Red Bay to the east and serves as a vital navigation landmark.
Shaped like a horse’s head, most of the island is covered by shrub vegetation, and it is home to dwarf bamboo unique to Huizhou’s offshore islets. Fresh mountain springs flow here all year round. No permanent residents live on the island. Apart from the site of the Little Xing Mountain Battle and the ruins of an abalone farm, there is also a Mazu Temple worshipped by local fishermen.

Little Lajia Island – The Island with the Bluest Skies

Covering 0.14 square kilometers, Little Lajia Island falls under the jurisdiction of Daya Bay, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. The water depth around the island ranges from 1 to 2 meters, with crystal clear seawater carpeted by corals and cobblestones on the seabed, boasting exceptional water quality. Even with ordinary swimming goggles, you can dive and admire the wonders of the underwater world (admission ticket required).
To reach Little Lajia Island, take a boat from Aotou in Daya Bay. Private boats are abundant, and fares are negotiable.

Huzhou Bay, Xiayong

Huzhou Bay Beach sits in Xiayong Town, Huizhou within Daya Bay waters, known as the “Oriental Hawaii”. It features long, soft coastal sand, pure seawater, little sediment, mild waves and clean shorelines free of debris. Camping here lets you fully enjoy unspoiled coastal scenery.
Pine forests stretch along the beach, offering cool shaded spots for summer getaways and relaxation. The wide, flat shore is perfect for team games like name-tag tearing. There is an affordable horse riding ground where you can experience galloping along the shore.
At night, gentle sea breezes sweep across the bay. Having a beach barbecue with cold beer is an absolute delight. Woken by the morning sun, you can stroll the coastline running from Xiayong to Xiaojingwan and admire the soft sea scenery bathed in sunrise glow — this is a classic coastal sightseeing route.

Changsha Bay, Bijia Village

Changsha Bay is located in Bijia Village at the westernmost tip of Pinghai Town, Huidong County, Huizhou, where the Pinghai Power Plant is situated. A quiet bay with picturesque scenery, it is one of the few remaining pristine coastal areas untouched by overdevelopment.
Across the bay lies Egret Island, where flocks of white egrets dance through the air. Further offshore is the undeveloped Sangzhou Island, famous for its stunning scenery and transparent seawater.
You can camp on the sand, run and play with friends by the shore. Amid the premium coastal setting, join team-building interactive games to compete for the title of high EQ and high IQ winner. In the evening, attend a grand bonfire music party filled with laughter and joy.

European-Style Hezheng Eastern Bay

Hezheng Eastern Bay is located in Huizhou within the South China Sea International Bay Area, emerging as another world-class bay following the eight most renowned gulf regions worldwide. Boasting sapphire-blue seawater and top-grade fine sand, it ranks among the cleanest and highest-quality bays across China.
Abundant premium coastal natural and cultural resources endow this area with unmatched potential to become an international coastal holiday destination. If you travel with a tour group, you can stay in sea-view apartments here, combining cozy accommodation with unbeatable ocean views for a near-perfect experience.
On this golden coastline (admission ticket required), you can swim in a spacious, spotless swimming pool and play beach football with other visitors. After dark, gather with friends for barbecue feasts and watch dazzling fireworks light up the seaside sky.

The Scenic Shuangyue Bay

Shuangyue Bay is situated in Gangkou Town, Huidong County, Huizhou. Viewed from the air, the whole bay resembles two crescent moons placed back-to-back, hence the name Double Moon Bay.
Its most distinctive feature is the stark contrast between its two shores: the left bay has glassy calm waters, while the right bay churns with surging waves, forming a vivid contrast of tranquility and dynamism. Compared with nearby Xunliao Bay, it remains relatively undeveloped.
There are countless ways to enjoy the bay. Large groups of friends can host beach barbecues, go boating offshore and try water sports; families can wander along the shore and watch sunsets; visitors may also book luxurious sea-view suites and enjoy sumptuous seafood feasts at the upscale Hainabaina Restaurant. Simply put, fresh seafood and panoramic sea views are Shuangyue Bay’s greatest highlights.
Another unmissable spot is the Shuangyue Bay Viewing Platform. You can hike for one hour or take a motor tricycle (around 50 RMB for a round trip) from Gangkou Town to the summit of Daxing Mountain, where a full panoramic view of Double Moon Bay unfolds before your eyes.

Yanzhou Island

Also named Dazhou Island, Yanzhou Island lies in Huizhou. Under a subtropical marine climate, it stays warm and humid all year round with lush green foliage in every season, receiving around 2,000 millimeters of rainfall annually.
Its signature landscape is a stretch of shrubland that serves as a permanent habitat for tens of thousands of white cranes. The birds soar in large flocks or frolic on the water, creating an incredibly lively and spectacular sight. The island abounds in raw sea salt, which gave it the name Salt Island.
Shooting coastal landscapes on Yanzhou Island is highly recommended. Vast tidal flats stretch along the shore, and vibrantly colored basalt rock formations stand out dramatically against pounding waves, forming breathtaking natural scenery.
