Take a bus bound for Jiangbei from Lantian Bus Station and alight at Longqiao, between Kuangchang and Danlin. From there, you can take a motor tricycle (5 yuan per person) to the pear blossom scenic area in Heiping Village, or walk about 3 kilometers to reach the destination.
When it comes to enjoying pear blossoms in southern Sichuan, Danlin Town in Jiangyang District, Luzhou is a must-visit spot. Every March, the land is bathed in bright spring sunshine and blooming flowers. Winding paths lead to serene nooks dotted with golden rapeseed flowers, while snow-white pear blossoms blanket the remote mountains. The contrasting hues of golden yellow and pure white create a perfect picturesque scene.
As the weather warms up, nearly 2,000 mu of pear trees here burst into full bloom. Pale pink flower buds stand ready to open, and snow-white petals sway gently in the breeze. Viewed from afar, the blossoms look like mist and smoke; up close, each tree is exquisitely adorned as if carved from jade.
Located 25 kilometers away from downtown Luzhou, Heiping Village of Danlin is widely known as the renowned Pear Blossom Village.
The New Pear Blossom Village in Danlin Town sits at the back hills of Fang Mountain, a 3A-level scenic area. It has 1,500 mu of pear orchards with more than 40,000 pear trees in total, including over 1,500 ancient trees aged over a hundred years.
"The century-old pear trees in Danlin of Jiangyang are unique in Sichuan and rarely seen across the country." — this is the comment recorded in Records of Pears in Sichuan.
In recent years, Danlin Town has strived to build itself into the top ecological rural town on the outskirts of Luzhou, with the New Pear Blossom Village as a key development project. Leveraging pear blossoms, spoon pears, pear wine, exotic stones and age-old legends, rural cultural tourism here has gained growing popularity.
