Huanlong Lake lies northeast of Huanren County seat in Liaoning Province. Nestled amid rolling mountains, it stretches far and wide with vast blue waters, boasting grotesque peaks and exquisite waters like a painted landscape. The largest island on the lake is Wanle Island, covering 225 mu. When viewed from Wunu Mountain or from the air, the lake naturally takes the shape of a dragon, hence its name. Down the Hunjiang River, three dragon-shaped lakes intertwine over the land of Huanren: Huanlong Lake, Huilong Lake and Jinlong Lake. All three bear the character for "dragon", coiled across the county as an auspicious omen. Even the surrounding mountain ranges resemble dragons when viewed from afar.

Climb high for a panoramic view: rolling waves surge forth, first like flocks of white geese spreading their wings across the river, then like thousands of galloping horses thundering with earth-shattering momentum. The scene is magnificent beyond description. Sitting by the lakeshore, you see mountains enfolding the waters, where blue waves merge seamlessly with the sky. Cruising on the lake, you are surrounded by layered mountains and swaying green pines, with clear rippling waters winding through the hills. Lush trees flourish on both banks amid blooming mountain flowers. Water birds frolic on the sandy beaches, and shoals of fish leap in the waves. Everywhere you look, there is greenery and clear water. Standing tall on the bow and riding the wind, you lean against the gunwale and roar toward the river. Your heart fills with joy and ease, brimming with high spirits and ambition.
