Bayuquan District, also officially named Yingkou Economic and Technological Development Zone (shortened as Yingkou Development Zone), serves as an administrative division while the development zone refers to its economic functional zone.
Located on the Bohai coast in the central Liaodong Peninsula, Bayuquan District sits 50 kilometers south of downtown Yingkou, 210 kilometers south of Shenyang and 170 kilometers north of Dalian.
