Centered on Han-dynasty architectural styles and Chinese character culture, Xu Shen Cultural Park boasts the Character Sage Hall as its core building. This wood-and-brick imitation Han structure with double-eaved hip-and-gable roofs is hailed by experts as one of the finest ancient-style constructions built across Henan and even the whole country in recent decades. The Shuzhong Hall and Shuowen Museum follow professional museum exhibition standards to display Xu Shen’s life stories and academic achievements. The 80-meter-long Chinese Character Avenue features stone carvings and bronze castings replicating original calligraphic scripts from ten stages of Chinese character evolution, embodying a visual history of Chinese writing.
