A distinctive feature of apricot blossoms is their changing hues: the buds are a vivid crimson. As petals unfurl, the color gradually fades to pale pink at full bloom, and turns pure white when the flowers wither.

In early spring, if you wish to admire vast stretches of apricot blossoms, head for the thousand-mu apricot forest in Dongli Zhifang Village, Xiaozhang Town, Zaoqiang County. "Apricot blossoms bloom earlier than peach and pear blossoms, yet their flowering period is short, lasting only about a week. This year, the blossoms are expected to come out before the Qingming Festival," said Li Linmiao, the village Party secretary. Visitors are advised to come from late March to early April.
