The Banana Industrial Park in the North and South Panjiang River Basin of Ceheng County is an industrial demonstration zone built by the county to boost economic transformation and rapid development.

Guided by modern high-tech technological procedures for banana cultivation, the park highlights the landscape features of sightseeing agriculture, and meets the standards of high-tech farming, banana processing technology and precision agriculture, while fully embodying local cultural features. It will gradually develop into the most representative "Mountain Agriculture Leisure and Tourism Resort of China" in southwestern Guizhou and even the whole country.

The park stretches along the 226-kilometre river basin of the North and South Panjiang Rivers, with more than 100,000 mu of land suitable for banana planting (over 20,000 mu have been planted so far). The cultivated varieties include Cavendish bananas, plantains, fenjiao bananas and longya bananas.

Taking full account of the park’s geographical location and subtropical climate, plans have been made to construct an International Banana Exhibition Center, a Banana History Museum, a Banana Leisure, Sightseeing and Sports Center, a Picking Experience Garden, a Banana Horticultural Garden, a Banana Farming Culture Park, as well as supporting facilities including hotels, clubs and rural resorts
