As one of the Eighteen Scenic Spots of Jinzhou, Swallow Cave is located in Luofan Village, Yanjia Town, 27 kilometres away from the county seat. It gets its name from the dense swallow nests inside the cave, where tens of thousands of swallows fly all year round.
Every spring and summer, flocks of swallows wheel and dart among green willows. Peach blossoms and plum blossoms are in full bloom, setting off the river flowing through the cave and forming a gorgeous ecological picture.
Guojia Cave is connected with Swallow Cave and stretches 1,500 metres deep. On the cliff at its entrance are cinnabar symbolic characters. Research by national cultural relic experts shows that they date back 1,000 to 2,000 years. This kind of ancient symbolic writing was discovered for the first time in Qianxinan Prefecture. Inside the cave stand fantastic stalactites, stalagmites and stone pillars with dazzling and breathtaking scenery.
