Nanhua Miyilu Custom Valley

Miyilu Custom Valley is a Grade AAA tourist scenic area. It lies to the north of Nanhua County Seat, at the junction of Nanhua, Yao'an and Mouding counties. Relying on the Chahe New Rural Demonstration Belt, the scenic zone stretches for 7 kilometres (from kilometre marker K13 to K19+500 on the Nanhua-Yongren Highway). It covers six villager groups along the highway under Chahe Village Committee, including 205 households with a total population of 856 residents. The scenic area well preserves traditional Yi singing, dancing, costumes, embroidery and the unique "Young Girls' Chambers".

Key scenic spots include Yakou Village, Jiaolou Stockade, the Qi Family Courtyard, the Qijia Pork Feast, Yi Inn, Sanjia Village and Maan Stockade. This is a scenic compact Yi settlement where ethnic Yi people account for 99.6 percent of the total population.

It boasts abundant forest and undergrowth resources, with 69,000 mu of woodlands and a forest coverage rate of 72 percent. Local villagers maintain simple folk traditions and a well-preserved tranquil ecological environment. The area retains authentic Yi songs, dances, costumes, embroidery and traditional modes of production and life. Tourists can experience the welcoming door-blocking wine toast, primitive trumpet folk melodies, mysterious Young Girls' Chambers, traditional local dishes, mellow goat-horn wine, soulful original folk songs and the unrestrained Left Foot Dance, all brimming with strong ethnic charm.

Miyilu Custom Valley has received 1.8388 million domestic and overseas tourists, generating total tourism revenue of 542.626 million yuan. In 2014 alone, it welcomed 562,800 visitors and achieved rural tourism income of 23.7977 million yuan
