Agritainment in Baizhu Village, Hetang Township

Baizhu Village lies at the westernmost tip of Lianhua County, nestled among rolling mountains in the middle section of the Luoxiao Mountain Range. Boasting gorgeous scenery, unique natural sights and mysterious legends, this place has attracted numerous visitors from ancient times to the present.

It used to serve as the command centre during the Three-Year Guerrilla War along the Hunan-Jiangxi border. Landmarks here include Xizhu Temple, a red revolutionary temple, as well as legendary scenic spots such as Loach Cave, Hat Mountain, Emperor’s Flatland and Thunder-Struck Rock, plus Immortal Cave. You can also find natural stone bridges, vine bridges, enchanting waterfalls and wild fruits all over the mountains.

Tour Activities

Xizhu Temple, a sacred Buddhist site
First built in 1650. During the Hunan-Jiangxi revolutionary period, Red Army leaders including Wang Zhen, Xiao Ke and Wang Shoudong carried out revolutionary activities here.

Xizhu Temple, Immortal Yang’s Long Rock, Thunder-Struck Rock, Divine Tortoise Rock, ancient pine groves, waterfalls and Hat Mountain.

Traditional rural dishes include spring bamboo shoots, young bamboo shoots, edible wild herbs, free-range chickens, river snails, small wild lilies and stream fish.

Transportation

A cement highway leads directly to the village. It is 80 kilometres away from Pingxiang Railway Station on the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway and 30 kilometres from the county seat.
