Qinting Bridge

It is a historical and cultural relic designated as a county-level protected cultural site. The bridge stands in the southwest of Qinting Town.
First built in the Tang Dynasty, it was originally simply named "Bridge". Spanning the Qinshui River, it has two piers and one arch, measuring 5.55 metres long and 2.56 metres wide. Constructed of brick, wood and sandstone, it features a brick-timber structure.
According to the Prefectural Records: During the Kaiyuan reign of the Tang Dynasty, Yao Chong, a famous prime minister, lived in seclusion in his youth and once played the qin on this bridge. Later generations built a pavilion on the bridge in memory of him, hence the name Qinting Bridge (Bridge of the Qin Pavilion).
In the early Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty, Chen Sansheng, Magistrate of Yongxin County, hung a horizontal plaque inscribed "Prime Minister Yao’s Qin Pavilion" in the pavilion, which was later destroyed.
In the 24th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1759), Li Qichang, the subprefect, donated his official salary to rebuild the pavilion. He put up the old plaque "Prime Minister Yao’s Qin Pavilion" on the eastern side and the single character "Bridge" on the western side. Inside the pavilion, he wrote "Qinshui River" on the right and "Where Prime Minister Yao of the Tang played the qin" on the left.
The pavilion collapsed in the 8th year of the Guangxu reign (1828) and was reconstructed by local villagers afterwards. The historic site remains intact to this day.
