Lingyan lies in the southern part of Fangyan Scenic Area. Its core attraction is Lingyan Cave, hailed as "The No.1 Grotto Under Heaven", which runs through the entire mountain from north to south.
Inside the cave stand solemn Buddhist halls including the Heavenly King Hall, Mahavira Hall and Ksitigarbha Hall. Outside the cave, the Guanyin Pavilion houses a Thousand-Hand Guanyin statue that is believed to bless peace for all four directions. The Temple of God of Literature is also here, worshipped by countless students hoping to succeed in official examinations and earn a place on the golden ranking list.
Beside Lingyan stretches Lingyan Lake with a vast expanse of water framed by green mountain ridges. Waterside pavilions and terraces dot the picturesque landscape of mountains and waters, creating an exceptionally charming view.
