Yanbian Adventure Tourism Routes
Route 1: Panzhihua → Yumen
The distance from Panzhihua to Yumen Town is about 75 kilometers. Travel along Provincial Highway S216 to Yumen, passing Gaoping Lengshuiqing Pass (altitude: 2,130 meters) on the way. The winding highway features sharp, hazardous bends and abundant natural scenery, making it an ideal self-driving route.

Route 2: Yumen → Guosheng → Zemulong Azalea Sea Scenic Area
It is around 33 kilometers from Yumen Town to Guosheng Township. This area is dominated by mid-to-high mountain landforms, featuring a mild climate with four distinct seasons and favorable sunlight and heat conditions.
The stretch from Guosheng Township to Zemulong Azalea Sea Scenic Area spans approximately 23 kilometers. Baili Mountain inside the scenic area serves as the boundary between Yanyuan County and Yanbian County. Its highest peak, Chuandongzi, stands at an altitude of 4,195 meters, the highest point in Panzhihua City.
Vast stretches of azaleas of numerous varieties carpet the mountain ranges, and wild animals thrive across the region. The scenic spot has been certified by the Shanghai Guinness Headquarters as "China’s Largest Wild Azalea Sea Base". Visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and horse caravan experiences.

Route 3: Yumen → Huimin → Sichuanyan
The route from Yumen via Huimin to Sichuanyan stretches roughly 30 kilometers. Sichuanyan is situated in the southwest of Yanbian County, with its highest peak over 2,800 meters above sea level, spanning Huimin, Yumen and Yongxing Townships. It borders Huaping County of Yunnan Province, hence the name Sichuanyan (Sichuan Rock).
Travel north along the mountain to witness the unique geological landforms of Sichuanyan. The stone cliffs extend upward in terraced layers, separated by steep precipices with narrow mountain paths winding through them. After climbing to the summit, visitors will find flat land covering hundreds of mu, offering unobstructed panoramic views of the surrounding scenery.
This route allows visitors to tour the Red Star Historic Site, learn about Tusi chieftain culture, explore Dajian Rock, climb Sichuanyan, and experience the folk customs of the Lisu, Yi and Dai peoples. It is a perfect route for wilderness adventure tours.
