Qinghe → Gesala
The distance from Qinghe to Gesala is about 17 kilometers.
Gesala sits at the border of Sichuan and Yunnan Provinces. In the Yi language, "Gesala" means "a gorgeous paradise where humans and nature coexist in harmony", and it is commonly known as the most fun destination. It enjoys convenient transportation with Provincial Highway S216 running through the whole area, and it is 120 kilometers away from Lugu Lake.
Gesala serves as the tourism hub of the Panxi Rift Valley Scenic Area and an important component of the officially designated "Panxi Sunshine Ecological Tourism Zone" by the Sichuan Provincial Government. It is also a signature eco-tourism brand built with great efforts by Panzhihua City.
The Gesala Azalea Festival themed "Gorgeous Azaleas, Charming Gesala" is held every May in the Gesala Ecotourism Zone. During the festival, a variety of events are staged, including star concerts, photography contests, poetry competitions, and pageants for tourism ambassadors.
