Changyi City Museum

Changyi City Museum is located on the east side of Chengdong Road and at the western foot of Wenshan Mountain. It covers a land area of 40.71 mu with a construction area of 5,500 square meters, and the total investment stands at nearly 10 million RMB. Designed in an antique palace architectural style, the museum was officially completed and opened to the public in 1997.

The museum boasts abundant collections, with its rubbings of stone steles, paintings and calligraphy forming distinctive highlights. More than 1,000 pieces among its vast collection have been appraised as culturally significant relics, including nearly 100 national first-class, second-class and third-class cultural relics. A number of its treasures enjoy a high reputation at home and abroad, such as the late Shang Dynasty bronze vessel Deng Gong, stone funerary figurines unearthed from the tomb of Sun Ang of the Ming Dynasty, and the original manuscript of Detailed Explanation of Cold Damage Disorders written by Huang Yuanyu.

Ten thematic exhibition halls have been set up in the museum, namely the History Hall, Cultural Relics Hall, Painting and Calligraphy Hall, Stone Stele Rubbing Hall, Folk Custom Hall, Silk Culture Hall, Overseas Chinese Hall, Economic Development Hall, Science and Technology Hall, and Reserve Exhibition Hall.
