Durbat Square is located in the center of Wulanhuac Town. Construction broke ground in May 2003, with Tianjin Lvyin Landscape Engineering Co., Ltd. undertaking both the design and construction work. Covering a total land area of 26,900 square meters, the square includes 17,600 square meters of hard pavement and 9,300 square meters of green space.
The square is equipped with various landscape facilities such as sculptures, fountains, pergolas and lighting systems. The total project cost reached 6.5 million RMB, of which 2.55 million RMB was invested in 2003. The entire project was fully completed before August 5, 2004. As one of the tribute projects built to celebrate the administrative adjustment from league to city-level governance of Siziwang Banner, Durbat Square also serves as an ideal venue for local residents of Wulanhuac Town to relax and pursue recreational activities.
