Tangli Hot Spring
Tangli Hot Spring is located in Aikou Village, Daduan Town, Tonggu County, Jiangxi Province, surrounded by rolling green mountains with picturesque scenery.
The hot spring boasts abundant geothermal resources, with a daily water yield of more than 1,000 tons. Classified as calcium sulfate type hot spring water, it contains sulfur dioxide, potassium, sodium, calcium, hydrogen and other beneficial trace elements. It delivers remarkable curative effects in treating skin diseases, arthritis, rheumatoid ailments and osteoneuralgia.
Tangli Hot Spring in Aikou is one of Tonggu County’s major geothermal water sources. Abundant hot groundwater is found roughly 150 metres underground. The three spring outlets together produce over 2,000 tons of hot water per day.
Water quality tests confirm it is calcium sulfate hot spring water rich in sulfur dioxide, potassium, sodium, calcium, hydrogen and other healthy minerals. It works exceptionally well for skin disorders, arthritis, rheumatoid diseases and sciatica.
In 2012, Jiangxi Haoyu Group invested 2 billion yuan to develop the resort, aiming to build a national-level hot spring tourist resort.
The whole scenic area covers approximately 35,000 mu, including 900 mu of construction land. Key projects cover a comprehensive development demonstration zone, a secluded paradise, a Hakka Culture and Art Park, a five-star eco-hot spring hotel, and eco-spa wellness facilities.
The first phase, with an investment of 500 million yuan, focused on core scenic construction. A 10-kilometre tourist highway within the resort was completed. Phase I was finished on October 1, 2013, and the whole development project is scheduled to be fully completed within three years.
