Zhijin Waterfall is a national 3A-level scenic area. It is located in Guoguo Town, 20 kilometres east of Zhijin County seat. Originally named Diaoshuiyan Waterfall, it was officially renamed Zhijin Waterfall upon approval by relevant authorities.
The waterfall is 55 metres high and 35 metres wide. The torrential water plunges straight down in a magnificent momentum. The curtain of falling water hangs like strands of pearl beads joined together, forming a breathtaking spectacle. It is a precious gem bestowed by nature upon mankind. Characterized by grandeur, wonder, peril and grace, it is known as the "silver ribbon" on the earth.
It is the second largest waterfall only next to Huangguoshu Waterfall, a typical representative of Zhijin’s mountains and rivers, and a stunning scenic spot on the tourist route from Guiyang to Zhijin Cave.
