Snow Mountain Custom Town
A tourist town is an integrated tourism complex that integrates the primary, secondary and tertiary industries for coordinated development. It is livable, business-friendly, tourist-suitable and ideal for leisure, featuring one or multiple thematic activities such as conferences, festivals, fitness & wellness, and vacation recreation. Unrestricted by administrative divisions, it boasts abundant tourism elements and comprehensive service functions.
Located east of Yishui County Seat, bordering Snow Mountain Road to the north and East Ring Road to the east, Snow Mountain Custom Town broke ground in January 2012. Covering a land area of 73,373 square meters with a total construction area of approximately 100,000 square meters, the two-phase project required a total investment of around 650 million yuan.
Blending traditional Lingnan architectural aesthetics with modern commercial styles, this contemporary tourist town carries distinctive Lingnan charm, retaining classic vintage appeal while embodying modern vitality. Centered on commercial tourism, it fully explores the profound history and culture of the Yimeng Mountain Region, highlights local cultural characteristics and extends cultural connotations, greatly upgrading its tourism service capacity and elevating the quality of its tourist environment. It was officially rated a National AAA-level Tourist Attraction in December 2013.
The town is divided into five zones labeled A, B, C, D and E:
- Zones A, B and C focus on catering, leisure and accommodation. They house Junyi Intercity Changchen Holiday Hotel, a large chain hotel integrating guest rooms, catering, entertainment and conference services with 84 guest rooms and a dining capacity for 200 people. There are also 11 catering brands including a flagship farmhouse resort (4-Star Friendly Shandong Farmhouse Restaurant), Badou Kitchen, Bashu Night Rain, Northeast Joy and Xuyi East Lake Crayfish Restaurant, alongside 4 tea houses and 2 large foot massage parlors.
- Zone D specializes in tourist souvenirs and characteristic local products, accommodating 34 shops that deal in root carvings, exotic stones, antiques, calligraphy and paintings, as well as collections of Yimeng folk art.
- Zone E introduces Haining Leather Market, gathering top-tier merchants selling leather garments, fur coats, footwear, luggage and leather goods.
