Snow Mountain Rainbow Valley Scenic Area is located 2.5 kilometers east of Yishui County Seat, covering a total area of 350 hectares. The scenic area encompasses a range of attractions including Snow Lotus Lake, Rainbow Valley, Lovers’ Valley, Happy Valley, Field Combat Valley and grass skiing facilities, alongside supporting service amenities such as the Rainbow Green Island Hotel. It is an upscale tourist resort integrating sightseeing, leisure, catering, entertainment, amusement, vacation and live performances. It has been certified as a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction and named one of Shandong’s Top Ten Self-Driving Destinations.

The core landscape, Rainbow Valley, creates the magical spectacle of rainbows under clear skies through artificial rainfall and sunlight refraction. Gentle streams wind through the valley, filled with lush vegetation all year round. Mist and drizzle linger overhead, encircled by vivid rainbows, dotted with pavilions, terraces and waterside verandas. Visitors instantly feel as if they have stepped into an ethereal water town south of the Yangtze River.

On Snow Lotus Lake, wooden flat bridges, saddle-shaped arch bridges and Thailand-style Cloud Water Pavilion form an enchanting waterside promenade. You may stand on the bridges gazing at emerald mountain ridges in the distance, or sit quietly in the pavilion watching shoals of fish darting through the waves, fully immersed in relaxed, carefree bliss.

Lovers’ Valley features a poetic rose corridor, a Matchmaker Shrine and an Embroidery Tower built in Song Dynasty architectural style, plus high-end leisure wooden cabins for couples to rest. It also hosts vivid traditional wedding folk performances and thrilling acrobatic shows, making it an ideal retreat for lovers to unwind and have fun.

Happy Valley boasts nearly one hundred sets of primitive wooden climbing equipment as well as modern electric amusement rides, including the Crazy Bull, Flying Turtle, Space Fitness Trainer, Space Travel and Thunder Cannon, serving as a joyful playground for children and young and middle-aged visitors alike.

Spanning over 500 mu, Field Combat Valley was planned by experts from National Defence University of China and Jinan Military Region. It features a full array of lifelike battle zones with tunnels, dense forest shooting ranges, sniper positions, target practice areas and trench battlefields scattered with bunkers. It ranks as China’s largest military experience venue and national defense education base.

Other facilities include heart-pounding grass skiing, fun fish-catching activities for children, and a catering and barbecue area offering distinctive local flavors.
