List of Temples, Taoist Palaces and Memorial Archways in Jinxiang County

Guangshan Temple
East of the county government seat stands a pagoda. The temple was renovated in the 4th year of the Zhiyuan reign of the Yuan Dynasty. Abbot Juezhu restored the halls in the 40th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty.
Shousheng Temple
25 li northwest of the county seat.
Qianming Temple
20 li west of the county seat.
Longquan Temple
30 li north of the county seat.
Huangdong Temple
30 li northeast of the county seat.
Xinglong Temple
35 li south of the county seat.
Hongfu Temple
20 li south of the county seat.
Chongfu Temple
35 li southwest of the county seat.
Guangji Temple
35 li southeast of the county seat.
Xiufeng Temple
Situated on Xiufeng Mound. Abbot Pu'ai renovated the temple, which owned 38 mu of land.
Zhenwu Temple
Five li north of Jinxiang County seat.
God of Horses Temple
East of the county seat.
Eight Gods Temple
On Chuncheng Mound in the eastern suburbs of the county seat.
God of Fire Temple
East of the county seat.
Dragon King Temple
East of National Highway 105 outside the northern city gate.
Stone General Temple
South of the Confucian School of Shanyang Academy.
Dongyue Temple
In the northern part of the county seat.
Three Sovereigns Temple
12 li east of the county seat.
Three Gods Temple
Northeast of the county seat.
God of Medicine Temple
East of the county seat.

Taoist Palaces

Wanchun Palace
Located at Dadong Village, 30 li southwest of the county seat. It was built in the first year of the Dading reign of the Jin Dynasty.
Shenyou Guan (Spirit Roaming Taoist Temple)
West of the inner south city gate, constructed in the 2nd year of the Zhizhi reign of the Yuan Dynasty.
Baihe Guan (White Crane Taoist Temple)
East of the county government seat. When Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty held the eastern Fengshan Sacrifice, a white crane descended here. The emperor then ordered prefectures and counties to build a Taoist temple on this site. Two stone steles dating back to the Shangyuan reign of the Tang Dynasty and the Dading reign of the Jin Dynasty record its history.
Yuxiao Guan (Jade Firmament Taoist Temple)
Built during the Zhizhi reign of the Yuan Dynasty.

Filial Piety Arch
East of North Gate Street, erected in the Yuan Dynasty in honour of the filial daughter of the Sun clan.
Xiangju Arch (Provincial Graduate Arch)
South of the street inside the East Gate, built for Liu Huan, a provincial graduate.
Guangguang Arch
West of County Government Street, built for Li Jun, a provincial graduate.
Zhongxiu Arch
North of West Gate Street, built for Gao Chong, a metropolitan graduate.
Duoying Arch
East Street outside the county government seat, built for Su [blank], a provincial graduate.
Pangui Arch
East of the county seat, built for Wang Yi, a provincial graduate.
Shike Arch (Successive Imperial Examination Winners Arch)
West of the county seat, built for Li Yue, a provincial graduate.
Dengdi Arch
South of the county seat, built for Li Zhi, a provincial graduate.
Jingkui Arch
Southeast of the county seat, built for Wang Zhe, a provincial graduate.
Jinxian Arch
At the South Gate of the county seat, built for Gao Shitong, a provincial graduate.
Yayuan Arch (Second Place Winner Arch)
West Gate Main Street, built for Gao Shida, a provincial graduate.
Yifeng Arch
East Main Street, built for Zhou Ji, a provincial graduate.
Enguang Arch
Built in memory of Zhou Ji, posthumously awarded the title of Censor.
Chongguang Arch
East Main Street, built for Zhou Yunzhong, a provincial graduate.
Yushi Arch (Censor Arch)
East Main Street, built for Zhou Yunzhong, a provincial graduate.
Shuangrui Arch (Double Auspiciousness Arch)
North Street inside the East Gate, erected for Li Huai and Li He, both provincial graduates.
Chengguang Arch
Built for Li Qing, Director of the Ministry of Works.
Pengxiao Zhenyi Arch
South of the county seat, built for Xun Zhidao, a provincial graduate.
Xiongdi Keming Arch (Arch for Brothers Passing Imperial Examinations)
Built for Xin Zhe, a provincial graduate.
Jinshi Arch (Metropolitan Graduate Arch)
East Street of the county seat, built for Li Sui, a metropolitan graduate.
Enrong Arch
South of East Gate Street, built in memory of Yang Kui, posthumously appointed Director.
Tianqu Jiewu Arch
Built for Zhou Jiyong, a provincial graduate.
Jinbang Timing Arch (Golden Roll Arch)
Southeast Street, built for Guo Dongfan, a metropolitan graduate.
Tianguan Dafu Arch
East Gate Street, built for Hu Rugui, Director of the Official Selection Department.
Liufang Arch (Everlasting Fame Arch)
North of the West Gate, erected in honour of the virtuous widow Madam Gao.
Shuangjie Arch (Double Chastity Arch)
Built for Madam Cheng and Madam Yang, two virtuous widows.
Zhao'en Arch
West of the county seat, built in memory of Xun [blank], posthumously appointed Department Director of the Ministry of Revenue.
Chengen Arch
East of the county seat, built in memory of Xin Keding, posthumously appointed Department Director of the Ministry of Revenue.
Zongqing Qingshu Arch
At the street corner of East Gate, built for Guo Dongfan, Director of the Sacrificial Rites Department of the Ministry of Rites.
Wanjie Peilun Arch
At the corner of the North Gate, erected in honour of the virtuous widow Madam Hu.
Qingsuo Rongfeng Arch
South of the eastern corner of the main street, built for Zhou Dabei, appointed Supervising Secretary of the Rites Section.
Chunyu Dujian Arch
West of the eastern corner of the main street, built for Zhou Yongchun, metropolitan graduate and Chief Supervising Secretary of the Rites Section.
Gonggao Baozhang Arch
Outside the North Pavilion, built for Zhou Yongchun, Vice Censor-in-Chief and Governor of Liaodong.
Jinxiang boasts a long history and abundant resources with prosperous people. After more than a thousand years of construction and renovation, numerous temples, Taoist shrines and stone archways were left behind in the county seat. Yet due to the passage of time and frequent wars, many were either destroyed in warfare or collapsed under wind and rain erosion.
