White Horse Peak Green Eco-Resort Series
Route A: Green Eco Resort Tour to White Horse Peak, Main Peak of the Dabie Mountains
Itinerary
Day 1: Meet the group in Lu’an at noon, then check into the hotel.
Overnight: Lu’an
Day 2: After breakfast, drive to White Horse Peak Scenic Area, the highest peak of the Dabie Mountains (about 3 hours’ drive). En route, visit Fozi Ridge Reservoir, the first reservoir built after the founding of New China (40 minutes for sightseeing). Upon arrival, check into a four-star resort villa.

Day 3: Wake up amid floating white clouds, chirping birds and refreshing forest fragrance. After breakfast, hike briskly up White Horse Peak, the main peak of the Dabie Mountains. Admire exotic pines, grotesque rocks and surging sea of clouds, as well as thousand-year-old rhododendron bushes. Stand atop the summit and overlook the landscapes on both the southern and northern sides of the Dabie Mountains, recalling the verse by Li Bai:
"South of the mountain blooms burst into splendor;
North of the mountain snow lies white and tender.
This mountain stands apart from all others, pure and slender."
Take a brief rest on the mountain at noon. After lunch, drive back to Lu’an (around 3 hours). The group will be dropped off, marking the end of this pleasant trip.
Route B: White Horse Peak & Dragon Well Gorge
Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up the group at Lu’an Railway Station at noon and check into the hotel.
Overnight: Lu’an
Day 2: After breakfast, take the expressway to Dragon Well Gorge (2.5 hours’ drive; 3 hours for sightseeing). Explore grotesque rock formations and cascading waterfalls, then head to Dabie Mountain Resort.

Day 3: Wake up among clouds, birdsong and fresh woodland scents. Hike up White Horse Peak, the 1,777-meter-high main peak of the Dabie Mountains. Experience the poetic insight of Li Bai:
"South of the mountain blooms burst into splendor;
North of the mountain snow lies white and tender.
This mountain stands apart from all others, pure and slender."
This line is said to be the origin of the name "Dabie Mountains". Drive back to Lu’an (about 3 hours), then transfer the group to bullet trains to conclude the wonderful tour.
Route C: White Horse Peak & Copper Gong Stockade
Itinerary
Day 1: Meet the group in Lu’an at noon and check into the hotel.
Overnight: Lu’an
Day 2: After breakfast, drive to Copper Gong Stockade (3 hours’ drive; 3 hours for sightseeing). Visit One-Step Bridge, Stone-Supported Guest-Greeting Pine, Immortal Stacked Rocks, Copper Gong Rock, Stoop Rock, Fragrant Orchid Valley and Courage-Testing Rock. Afterwards, proceed to Dabie Mountain Resort.
Overnight: Resort
Day 3: Wake up surrounded by clouds, birdsong and natural forest aroma. Hike up White Horse Peak, the main peak of the Dabie Mountains to appreciate exotic pines, strange rocks, rolling cloud seas and ancient rhododendrons. From the summit, overlook the scenery on both sides of the mountain range and feel the artistic conception of Li Bai’s poem:
"South of the mountain blooms burst into splendor;
North of the mountain snow lies white and tender.
This mountain stands apart from all others, pure and slender."
After lunch, drive back to Lu’an (roughly 3 hours) and send off the group to finish the trip
