Scenic Description
Nestled at the entrance of Dragon Boat Valley under Baiyun Mountain, Yunlong Park covers an area of over 50,000 square meters. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the Xijiang River to the south, the park houses the Longquan Flying Waterfall and the Artificial Breeding Center for François’ Leaf Monkeys. As a Class-I National Protected Animal of China, the François’ Leaf Monkey is an endangered rare primate species. The Rare François’ Leaf Monkey Breeding Center inside the park is currently the world’s largest breeding base of its kind.
Founded in 1991, the center has developed a set of viable breeding and feeding techniques after years of exploration. More than 80 François’ leaf monkeys have been bred here, with over 40 individuals supplied to zoos at home and abroad. The park is also home to the bougainvillea cultivation base boasting the richest varieties across the country.
The exhibition hall inside the park features Guangxi’s largest butterfly specimen exhibition displaying over 10,000 butterfly species. Visitors can also view the world’s largest ostrich egg and the smallest hummingbird egg on display.
The highlight of Yunlong Park lies in its free-range animal habitat. White doves and peacocks wander freely around the park, while crocodiles swim in the ponds. Construction of a Snake Valley is underway within the park, where 10,000 live snakes will be raised after completion.
