A direct bus route from the urban area to Shuangdao has been opened by the local transport department.

The scenic area lies within the reservoir of Shuangdao Hydropower Station in Libu Town, Cangwu County, 60 kilometres from the city centre. The reservoir covers a water area of more than 7,600 mu, dotted with numerous peninsulas and islands. Highlights include the magnificent, steep and spectacular natural stepped Huangdian Waterfall Group, a huge vivid stone tortoise, and wooden houses of Miao villages with distinctive ethnic features. According to folklore, this place was the legendary birthplace of an emperor, with many beautiful tales passed down through generations.
