Guang'an lies in the transition zone between the central basin and mountainous fringes of the Sichuan Basin, with terrain sloping upward from west to east. It has a subtropical humid monsoon climate featuring mild weather and high humidity. The annual average temperature is around 17°C, and annual precipitation averages 1,213 millimeters. Winters and springs are warm with little rainfall; summers are hot and rainy; autumns are marked by persistent drizzles.

Guang'an features an extensive highway network. Both the total highway mileage and average highway density within the city exceed national and Sichuan provincial averages. The Guang'an-Linshui section of the Guang'an-Chongqing Expressway is open to traffic, and all remaining segments were fully completed before 2004. It takes one hour to drive from Guang'an to Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport for air travel connections. After the Guang'an-Nanchong section of the Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway opened to traffic in 2004, the drive from Guang'an to Chengdu takes only 2.5 hours. The planned Nanchong-Chongqing Expressway will run through Wusheng County. Upon completion, expressway access will cover all counties, county-level cities and districts of Guang'an, integrating the city into the Chengdu-Chongqing-Shanghai tourism economic belt.

Three national highways pass through Guang'an: G210, G212 and G331. Four provincial highways including the Shizhu-Nanchong route, plus two county highways (Yuechi-Wusheng Road and Guang'an-Wusheng Road) traverse the area. Interlaced national, provincial and county highways form a "Three Horizontal and Four Vertical" transportation network supported by railways and highways. Today, it takes no more than 30 minutes by car from downtown Guang'an to any county, city or district under its jurisdiction — a well-known local infrastructure achievement named the "Half-Hour Access Project".

Metasequoia Villa is located at Yangtianwo, Tianchi Town, Huaying City. As the Phase I project of Huaying Mountain Forest Park, it was completed and opened to visitors in 1997.

Nestled in high mountains, the villa is surrounded by tens of thousands of mu of natural white bamboo, broad-leaved forests, as well as artificially planted Chinese fir and masson pine forests. Within the scenic area lie distinctive landscapes: metasequoia groves hailed as "living plant fossils", maple woods, Japanese cedar forests, ornamental bamboo clusters and miniature stone forests. Tourists can enjoy snow views in winter and escape sweltering summer heat here.

With the launch of Phase II construction of Huaying Mountain Forest Park, a two-star tourist reception center, forest bathing zones, alpine pastures, children’s amusement facilities, a live ammunition shooting range and other supporting facilities will be built.

With convenient transportation and complete service facilities, the villa is designated a National AA-level tourist attraction, making it an ideal destination for leisure getaways and vacations
