Take Bus No.12 departing from Sanjiao Garden Stop, with Baodugu as its terminal. Buses leave every 15 minutes.

Take the Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway → Exit at Tengzhou South → Take the Zaozhuang-Mushan Expressway → Exit at Zaozhuang North Outer Ring Road → Drive 5 kilometers east along the North Outer Ring Road, then head northeast → Follow Zaoxin Highway → Pass Beizhuang Town → Turn right east at the sign for the National Geopark → Drive 5 kilometers along North Baodu Road to reach the Forest Park. The whole journey takes approximately 30 minutes.

Baodugu National Forest Park lies 20 kilometers northeast of Zaozhuang City. Endless rolling mountains stand in clusters, forming a natural barrier stretching from west to east. The park boasts vast forest coverage, dominated by Chinese arborvitae, black locust, Chinese catalpa and other rare timber trees as well as various miscellaneous tree species.

One prominent peak rises abruptly from the mountain range, piercing the sky like a giant pillar holding up the heavens — this is Baodugu. Legend has it that an elderly farmer once carried a calf up the mountain to farm the land atop the peak, hence the name Baodugu (meaning "Mound Where a Calf Was Carried"). It is also known as Junshan Mountain.

A deep ravine lies on the southwest slope of the mound, where mountain springs converge to form waterfalls. On the eastern side of the ravine stand Qinghua Taoist Temple and Chaoyun Taoist Temple. Dozens of caves scatter halfway up the mountain, including Taoyuan Cave and Water Curtain Cave. The stone walls inside and outside the caves are carved with Buddha statues of diverse shapes and postures.

The mountainside from the foot to the summit is as steep as a sheer cliff, requiring visitors to climb using both hands and feet. The flat summit covers dozens of mu of farmland, with stone ponds filled several feet deep with mountain spring water. Standing on the peak and gazing southward, visitors overlook picturesque flat plains; looking east toward the Yellow Sea, one sees swirling mist and clouds, giving rise to the famous scenic name "Junshan Sea View".
