The core area of the Ru Official Kiln lies in the north-central part of the village. The imperial porcelain fired here was mainly covered with sky-celadon glaze.
The wares included daily utensils such as bowls and plates, as well as ornamental artworks like vases and wine zuns.
The porcelain features dignified and elegant shapes with fine and compact clay bodies that are grey tinged with yellow, commonly known as "incense ash clay". The glaze is covered with fine natural crackles. With exquisite craftsmanship, these wares represented the highest level of celadon porcelain of that era.
