Scenic Introduction
The Emperor Wu Platform lies 5 kilometers northeast of the farm headquarters. It was built around 117 BC. Emperor Liu Che of the Western Han Dynasty once came here with his troops and ministers to overlook the sea, and had a sea-viewing terrace constructed with a base height of 200 meters. Later generations named it the Emperor Wu Platform in his memory.
During the Three Kingdoms period, General Liu Meng was ordered to eliminate locusts here and died from overwork. To commemorate him, local people built a temple on the platform, housing statues of General Liu Meng and his attendants. Built with blue bricks and green glazed tiles, the temple was popularly known as the Locust God Temple. The temple has long collapsed, while the Emperor Wu Platform still stands to this day.
