Xugou Hot Spring is located in Xugou Village under Jinshan Sub-district, Qibin District (near the Second Qi River Bridge). The clear torrent of the Qi River rushes down from the shallow upper reaches west of the village, converges with the spring water of Xujia Gou, then turns and flows into the wide and deep river channel, drifting away peacefully and gently.

Formed in an ancient volcanic crater triggered by seismic activity, Xugou Hot Spring gushes out all year round with a constant water temperature of 19°C in all seasons. The spring water contains a variety of minerals essential to the human body. Ducks raised within about one kilometre downstream lay eggs with distinctive yolks. When cut open, the yolks display intertwined concentric rings of red, orange, yellow and white, featuring attractive colouration, abundant nutrients and great rarity. These eggs were once a royal tribute to imperial courts throughout history, known as the Silken Thread Duck Egg, one of the Three Treasures of the Qi River in Hebi.

Tall trees sway and aquatic plants ripple on both river banks. Thanks to the steady 19°C spring temperature, mist shrouds the river surface every winter, turning the area into a magical fairyland and an earthly paradise.
