Renshouyuan Scenic Area – Renshou Villa (National AAA-level Tourist Attraction)

Daxi Ruli Taohuayuan Resort and Renshou Villa in Bama jointly form Renshouyuan Scenic Area, a national AAA-level tourist attraction. Nestled in Ganyan Hamlet, Pinglin Village, Natao Township, southeast of Bama County, the site lies 10 kilometers from the county seat.

As a cultural landmark of Bama, Renshou Villa was built themed around centenarian Deng Chengcai, the longevity plaque inscribed with the phrase "Only the Benevolent Attain Longevity", and local folk customs. Integrating catering, entertainment and shopping services, it is recognized as a Four-Star Rural Tourism Zone of Guangxi.

Ganyan is the birthplace of Bama’s longevity culture and a sacred land since ancient times. "Ganyan" derives from the local dialect, roughly meaning a cave that continuously emits mist, shrouding the village in lingering haze all year round, half-hidden and half-visible amid clouds and fog—hence the name Ganyan. On this blessed land, the revered elder Deng Chengcai lived to an extremely ripe old age comparable to the lifespan of southern mountains, with outstanding merits and a kind, honest nature that moved the emperor. In 1898, the Guangxi Military Governor’s Office was ordered by the Guangxu Emperor to present Deng Chengcai a longevity plaque engraved with "Only the Benevolent Attain Longevity".

Since 2010, villagers of Ganyan Hamlet have seized the opportunity brought by the booming tourism industry across the county. They further explored cultural resources centered on the longevity philosophy of "Only the Benevolent Attain Longevity", and took full advantage of their geographic proximity to both Cifu Lake leisure wellness resort and the county seat. Villagers integrated new rural development into the county’s overall tourism planning. Elements of Renshou (Benevolence & Longevity) culture were incorporated into all infrastructure projects, including residential construction, road landscaping, greening, lighting installation, facade renovation of houses and homestay refurbishment. Through elaborate development of Renshou Villa, the new countryside features distinct ethnic characteristics and highlights profound longevity culture.

Specially developed as a key tourist attraction of the county, Renshou Villa combines longevity cuisine & leisure, exploration of longevity culture and folk custom experiences, presenting a rich and diverse experience. The first phase of the villa project received an investment of 22 million RMB, while the second phase is projected to cost 30 million RMB. All construction work for Phase One has been fully completed, including residential buildings, cultural activity rooms, performance stages, restaurants, paved roads and other supporting facilities, marking the initial formation of Renshou Villa’s full layout.
