Longevity Crystal Palace

Longevity Crystal Palace is located in Niudong Hamlet, Daluo Village, Nashe Township in the northwest of Bama County, about 44 kilometers from the county seat with convenient transportation links. Developed in a karst landform area featuring peak clusters, depressions and valleys with rugged terrain, the cave entrance sits on the hillside of a karst peak cluster, roughly 150 meters above the present erosion surface.

The cave stands out for its pure milky-white landscape covered densely with cave hair, helictites and cave flowers, ranking among top-tier rare karst formations nationwide. The concentration of negative oxygen ions inside the cave ranges from 36,000 to 70,000 per cubic centimeter, 5 to 10 times higher than that outside the cave.

Longevity Crystal Palace is a medium-sized corridor cave formed mostly along rock strata. Apart from several large halls, the cavern space is generally long and narrow with mild fluctuations in height. Preliminary surveys show the cave stretches over 600 meters long, 8 to 40 meters wide and 10 to 35 meters high. Partial gravel and fine sand deposits can be seen on the cave floor.

Its speleothems fall into two categories. Gravity water deposits include soda straws, stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone bands, stone flags, various stone curtains, stone waterfalls and stone shields. Non-gravity water deposits cover dozens of varieties such as cave hair, helictites and cave flowers. These formations boast diverse shapes, snow-white pure hues and exquisite translucent textures. Housing a stunning collection of natural artistic treasures that are still growing, the cave carries extraordinary sightseeing and scientific research value.
