Memorial Site of Yang Jingyu's Party and Army Rectification at Daqingguan in Shihugou

In early November 1932, when the Panshi Workers' and Peasants' Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army was confronted with severe hardships, Yang Jingyu, acting Secretary of the Military Commission of the Manchurian Provincial Party Committee of the CPC, was dispatched by the Provincial Party Committee to conduct an inspection tour in southern Manchuria. Braving countless dangers and hardships, he located the volunteer army, which had moved to the area of Mifengdingzi in northern Huadian. After patient and meticulous ideological work, he led the troop back to Daqingguan in Shihugou of Panshi.

During the rectification, the irregular bandit-style designations were abolished, bad elements infiltrating the troop were purged, and the unit was reorganized into the South Manchurian Guerrilla Corps of the 32nd Red Army of Chinese Workers and Peasants.

Subsequently, the Third Congress of the CPC Panshi County Committee was convened. The meeting criticized the Rightist flightism represented by Quan Guang and the Leftist adventurism represented by Wang Geng, and reshuffled the leading body of the Central County Party Committee. Later, the army moved to Bolihetao and established an anti-Japanese base area covering a radius of one hundred li centred on Hongshilazi Mountain and Bolihetao.
