The Seven Crags of Huifa

The Seven Crags of Huifa refer to seven rocky outcrops standing along the banks of the Huifa River.
The Huifa River runs through Panshi territory and enters Huadian at the boundary between Heishi Town and Hulan Town of Panshi City. Within Panshi, the river stretches for 49 kilometres with a width ranging from 160 to 500 metres. Steep fantastic peaks line both banks, creating exquisite scenery.
As the winding river meanders through mountain ranges, numerous rocky crags of varying sizes have formed along the shore. Some are named after their shapes, others after their colours.
In downstream order, the most famous seven crags are Hulong Crag, Small White Stone Crag, Large White Stone Crag, Eagle Beak Crag, Crow Crag, Pig Snout Crag and Screen Wall Crag, collectively known as the Seven Crags of Huifa.
Each crag boasts its own unique charm. Some are as white as jade; some take the shape of a tiger; some look like crows crouching on the bank gazing southward; others resemble eagle beaks or pig heads. One rises from the shore just like a courtyard screen wall. Their grotesque shapes defy description.
The river-facing sides of the crags consist of sheer precipices. Standing atop the rocks, visitors see rolling blue waves merging into the vast sky.
River water pounds against the cliff faces, churning up eddies in countless forms amid constant rumbling roars. Looking down from the precipice, you get the vivid illusion that the crags are drifting upstream against the current.
The tops of the crags are carpeted with moss dotted with natural stone blossoms. Trees cling precariously to the steep rock faces, visible yet out of reach.
Water birds often roost on the rock peaks and in caves. Flocks dive into the river to search for food, then gather on the cliffs to flap their wings and cry out loudly.
Every crag is accompanied by touching folk legends.
