Shihu National Forest Park
As a National Nature Reserve, the park is located in Shihu Town, Tonghua County, Jilin Province, with a planned total area of 283 square kilometers. Its highest peak, East Laotuoding, stands at 1,589 meters above sea level, ranking the second highest in Jilin Province. Integrating natural and historical landscapes, the scenic area features rolling mountains, dense forests, crisscrossing gullies and rivers, as well as abundant wild animal and plant resources.
Major scenic spots include the Laotuoding Watchtower, Sandao Lake Cascade Power Station, Binghugou Waterfall and Shidaodigou. Cultural and historical sites cover the Goguryeo City Wall, the ancient trail of Xue Li's Eastern Expedition, ruins of an ancient road temple, the secret camp of Yang Jingyu's Anti-Japanese Allied Forces, and the battlefield site of Laoling Tunnel.
