Two-Day Tour: Geopark, Stone Sculpture Garden, Zhaojiabao & Abstract Gallery

Group pickup at around 10 a.m., followed by a visit to Zhangzhou Coastal Volcano Natural Ecological Scenic Area, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction (tour duration: about 3 hours). It is China’s only coastal volcanic geopark. Tour Xiangshan Scenic Zone, overlook Linjin Islet (island-crossing fees to be borne by visitors themselves), and visit the Basalt Pavilion, Geo-Science Museum and other spots.

After lunch, proceed to the world’s largest stone sculpture theme park — Migration from Tangshan to Taiwan Stone Sculpture Park (tour duration: about 2.5 hours). The park tells the historical story of Minnan people who left their hometowns to reclaim wasteland in Taiwan more than 200 years ago, integrating cultural and natural landscapes. Visitors can appreciate the landmark stone sculpture Pioneering, the Fujian-Taiwan Folk Custom Museum and other highlights. Overnight stay: County seat

After breakfast, visit Zhaojiabao, a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level (around 40 minutes’ drive, 1 hour for sightseeing). This ancient grand castle was built as the settlement for descendants of the imperial clan of the Song Dynasty, modeled after Bianjing, the former capital of the Northern Song Dynasty. Tour Wanbi Tower, Zhao Fan’s Mansion, Bianpai Bridge and other scenic sites.

After lunch, explore the marine-weathered granite and abstract rock murals of Liu’ao, a rare coastal wonder in China covering an area of about 0.5 square kilometers. Crisscross gullies stretch all over the scenic area, and each gully forms a layered, rippling natural scroll. Some patterns resemble blood vessel networks on the internal organs of animals, some look like abandoned broken spider webs, some twist like wandering dragons and snakes, while others resemble fairies dancing gracefully.
