The Bargaiti Hot Spring takes its name from the Bargaiti region. It lies 58 kilometres northeast of Nileke County seat. Visitors can drive from the county town to Bargaiti Valley, then head north along Bargaiti Valley via a paved road leading directly to the hot spring.
Towards the end of the Devonian Period in the Late Paleozoic Era, about 2.7 million years ago, the large-scale Variscan orogeny took place. Horizontal compressive forces formed the Bargaiti syncline. At the intersection of north-south strike-slip faults and northwest regional torsional fractures, favourable channels for underground hot water came into being. Sulfur-bearing hot water generated from deep granitic magmatic hydrothermal fluids rose along the faults and surfaced, eventually forming the Bargaiti Hot Spring.
The spring water contains 32 mineral elements including sulfur, magnesium, zinc and potassium. It is ideal for modern beauty care and health preservation. Furthermore, it can help treat arthritis, skin diseases and gastrointestinal ailments, eliminate harmful substances in the human body and regulate body fluid balance.
